MATT BUTLER

Matthew Butler, is an accomplished military and law enforcement professional with extensive experience in public safety, emergency response tactics, first-aid and human behavior analysis. He has held many positions in the criminal justice system to include Patrol Officer, Canine Handler, Background Investigator, Special Response Team Member and Bomb Incident Procedure Instructor. He is an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and Stop the Bleed Instructor. He has facilitated multiple courses on civilian active shooter response and the Stop the Bleed program.
Matt is a U.S. Marine (Reserve) Infantryman. While serving as a team leader, with his units’ quick response and reconnaissance platoon, he conducted over 200 missions in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Currently, he serves as the Chief Combat Instructor for Mobilization Training Battalion, School of Infantry-West, Camp Pendleton, California. While serving as state police officer he has worked with numerous municipal, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. He has brought hundreds of people to justice; from violent homicide suspects to impaired drivers. Matt has received specialized training on the topics of; Behavior Analysis, Interview and Interrogation, Active Shooter Response, Use of Force, Explosive Identification and Detection, Firearms, Tactical Combat Casualty Care and Drug Interdiction.
Matt enjoys spending time in nature where he and his business partner, Devin, depart on mutli-day adventures into the wilderness. When not working or on adventures, Matt is spending time with his family on his property in Northern California.
