MATT BUTLER

Matthew Butler is an accomplished military and law enforcement professional with extensive experience in public safety, emergency response tactics, first-aid and human behavior analysis. He has held many positions in the criminal justice system to include Patrol Officer, Canine Handler, Background Investigator, Special Response Team Member and Bomb Incident Procedure Instructor. He is an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and Stop the Bleed Instructor. He has facilitated multiple courses on civilian active shooter response and the Stop the Bleed program.

Matt is a U.S. Marine (Reserve) Infantryman. While serving as a team leader, with his units’ quick response and reconnaissance platoon, he conducted over 200 missions in Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Currently, he serves as the Chief Combat Instructor for Mobilization Training Battalion, School of Infantry-West, Camp Pendleton, California. While serving as state police officer he has worked with numerous municipal, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. He has brought hundreds of people to justice; from violent homicide suspects to impaired drivers. Matt has received specialized training on the topics of; Behavior Analysis, Interview and Interrogation, Active Shooter Response, Use of Force, Explosive Identification and Detection, Firearms, Tactical Combat Casualty Care and Drug Interdiction.

Matt enjoys spending time in nature where he and his business partner, Devin, depart on mutli-day adventures into the wilderness. When not working or on adventures, Matt is spending time with his family on his property in Northern California.

 

DEVIN SCHMITT

Few things are hard...most are just unfamiliar.

Devin Schmitt is the modern-day pioneer adventurer and co-founder of Rolling Ready. He served honorably in the Marine Corps as a heavy machine gunner and completed two combat tours to Iraq. Throughout his life, Devin became more involved in extreme adventurous activities such as mountaineering, canyoneering, scuba diving, and paragliding. In addition to Devin's adventurous skill set, he has 14 years as a Deputy Sheriff. He is a certified Stop the Bleed instructor and serves as a FEMA law enforcement instructor relating for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE). Devin has attended anti-terrorism classes with the Federal Bureau of Investigations and serves as an underwater search and recovery diver and underwater explosives investigator.

Devin's military and law enforcement training give him the ability to teach the skillset to all walks of life and increase the chances of survival in the harshest incidents.

Taylor Schmitt is the modern model of leadership and devotion. She is and active officer in the United States Marine Corps, stationed in Florida. Taylor is a  firearms instructor, an active dive master, and currently in training to become a naval aviator. She prides herself with new challenges and devotes her achievements to further her dreams and family. When she's not defending our country, you'll usually find her in the depths of our beautiful oceans, hunting in our majestic mountains, or repelling through canyons in the dark crevasses of Utah. There are few women with her diverse capabilities and life experience.
